Hello Everyone
The renewed push behind the Constitution Pipeline – which would cut through 124 miles of forests and wetlands to carry fracked gas from Pennsylvania to Schoharie County, New York – is not just a single project. The pipeline is a gateway to devastating industrial expansion including energy-intensive data centers and fracked gas power stations, reflecting a broader pattern of extractive development that threatens the health of our water, farms, cultures, and the rich biodiversity of the forests of New York.
But it doesn't have to be like this! We can, and will, stop this pipeline. We the People still have the power, but we have to join our voices, walk the road and do the work of creating a different vision of our future. So, don't give in and don't give your power to the machines and corporations! There are so many alternatives and positive community solutions available to us. We will do this, together!....
In the sections that follow, we’ve outlined clear ways to get involved in stopping the pipeline. Your voice matters! Public comments on the pipeline are due by Monday, May 4th at 5pm. Instructions on how to submit them are below. Decisions are being made right now that will have lasting consequences, and our collective voices carry real weight in shaping what comes next. The time to act is now.
The work of the Waterfall Unity Alliance is rooted in protecting the land and water, strengthening community, and the belief that we must come together to create solutions to the existential challenges of our time. To this end, we are organizing a 95 mile Water Prayer Walk through towns along the route of the pipeline in New York State.

The walk will begin outside of Damascus, NY on August 8, 2006 on the banks of the Susquehanna River and will continue to the Iroquois Compressor Station in the Town of Wright in Schoharie County. We invite all allies, teachers, students, farmers, neighbors, workers, artists, faith leaders, elected representatives and concerned relations to walk with us.
Please be in touch with erin@waterfallunityalliance.org if you would like to help with local organizing and/or outreach for the Water Prayer Walk.
...And please share these links and information with friends, neighbors and community groups. Many people are still uniformed about the pipeline and the broader risks it carries.
With hope, love and in unity always,
The Waterfall Unity Alliance
WAYS TO TAKE ACTION!
Deadline: Monday May 4th at 5pm
Submit a public comment to FERC!
FERC has opened a public comment period related to any environmental, cultural, or financial impacts that that the pipeline construction and compressor station expansion might cause. YOUR VOICE MATTERS! We need as many people as possible to submit comments.
Click here to read a sample comment submitted by Summit resident Wayne Stinson about the pipeline.
“Don’t build the pipeline because it is dangerous to human health and the environment” is a valid comment. There is no need to have the answers or provide specific details to FERC as they will be doing that investigation for themselves.
You can submit a comment with a few clicks through Food & Water Watch.
For more information on the scoping comment period, talking points and to submit comments directly to FERC click on the button below.

ROUTE SIGNS & INTERACTIVE MAP
Understanding the impact of the proposed Constitution Pipeline starts with knowing where the route will cross our forests, roads, and waterways. Does the pipeline cross your property? Please email tanja@waterfallcenter.org to get a route sign. Delivery is available if you can’t pickup!
Want to check out the route in detail? Visit the interactive pipeline map created by FracTracker Alliance.
UPCOMING EVENTS

The explosion of data centers is one of the biggest affordability and environmental threats of our generation. This expansion is rapidly increasing demand for energy, driving more fossil fuel pollution, straining water resources, devouring land, and raising utility bills.
On May 13, Food & Water Watch will be organizing a rally in Albany and lobbying for legislation to press the pause button on data centers, fully assess their risks, and institute regulations to protect our communities, health, and environment!
RESOURCES
Below is a list of some new resources that we have found to help keep you up to date on the current status of the pipeline, data centers and avenues for action. We are also sharing all of these resources on our Constitution Pipeline pages as well as our Data Center page.
StopTheCon Linktree - List by StopTheCon of resources, events and actions relating to the Constitution Pipeline
Brockovich Data Center Reporting - Toll and resources by famed American paralegal, consumer advocate, and environmental activist Erin Brokovich on community data center reporting.
